I currently work in the School of Health and Related Research and am currently the UK AAATE national contact (www.aaate.net) . My work focuses around innovation and user evaluation of AT, This includes telehealth, telecare, digitally based AT, technology transfer and open innovation. I am part of the AT theme of the national resource ‘Devices for Dignity’, a Health Technology Co-operative. Although graduated as a physicist and computer scientist, and then as an Electrical Engineer, I have and am working with and across the disciplines –especially for user centred design; initially working on powered wheelchairs and integrated systems in the early 90’s, I now work primarily in technology transfer, open innovation and use of tele and IT technologies for health and social care.
